Inspiration
My favourite memory is my dad sitting at the end of the kitchen table reading a newspaper, a Readers Digest, a dictionary or an encyclopaedia and lifting his head occasionally to excitedly share what he was learning. His passion for language was passed on to me. Not fully understanding my ability in comprehension and structure of language, I worked in a number of administration roles until I was married and had three beautiful children.
When I was around 40, I felt lost about what career to pursue when I was asked an important question: “What is it that you love doing, and when you do it, time disappears?” I realised that it was my writing and I began to explore how I could apply my passion and understanding in a productive way. This led to establishing my business in 1995.
Satisfaction
Along the way, changes in the business world led me to adapt to new technologies and methods when working with clients. I believe we now enjoy a time when communication is so easy and can reach a wider audience, however people’s need for encouragement and assistance with language remains the same.
